Spring Riding Field Trial, Little Pinoche

March 3-4, 2012

This VCNC sponsored riding Field Trial will include Amateur Walking Derby, Open Derby, Amateur Gun Dog (walking and retrieving), Open Gun Dog (retrieving) and Open Limited Gun Dog. Entries close Friday February 24, 2012.

Vizsla Fun Field Day

April 14, 2012
Hastings Island Hunting Preserve, 7758 Hastings Island Road, Rio Vista, CA

This is a great opportunity to expose your puppy or adult dog to the joys of hunting birds in the field. The FFD is particularly geared towards novice dogs of any age and their novice owners. It'll give them a chance to see what field work is all about. Advanced handlers and their experienced Vizslas are also welcome to attend in order to fine-tune their hunting skills. The training courses will be run as if they were a hunt tests or field trials. Lunch will be available on site.

Walking Field Trial

April 28-29, 2012

This is a Field Trial for those of us without a horse. Stakes being offered are Amateur Walking Puppy, Amateur Walking Derby, Open Derby, Amateur Gun Dog (retrieving), Amateur Limited Gun Dog, Open Gun Dog (retrieving), Open Limited Gun Dog (retrieving).

Specialty, Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes, and Supported Entry Shows

The VCNC Specialty, Sweepstakes, and Supported Entry Shows will be held in conjunction with the Woofstock 4 day cluster hosted by the Contra Costa County Kennel Club. This has become one of the largest Vizsla Specialties in the country!

Annual Golden Gate Kennel Club All-Breed Dog Show

January 28-29, 2012

The VCNC will once again show off their Vizslas to the general public at the Golden Gate Kennel Club?s Cow Palace dog show on January 28 & 29, 2012. So, come out to enjoy the event with your Vizsla friends at this highly regarded "benched" dog show. Watch the conformation competitions, enjoy flyball demonstrations or shop at numerous dog product vendors. Both days are majors! Saturday has 27 Vizslas [12-6 (4-4) 1] and Sunday has 28 Vizslas [11-8 (5-4) 0].

Annual Awards Lunch, Election and Membership Meeting

Annual VCNC Agility Trial

February 4-5, 2012
Sonoma County Fairgrounds, 1350 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95404

The VCNC will once again sponsor this AKC Agility Trial. While entries have already closed as of the date of this posting, it is a great event to watch and an opportunity to learn about the agility trial activities. Volunteers are always welcome for ring stewarding, timing, setup, etc. Drive up and see what agility is all about.
