How You Can Help
There are many ways to lend a hand to the rescue organization. This work is not accomplished by a few, but rather by a network of helpers. We are always thrilled to gain volunteers.
Donation
As with any volunteer group, we depend on donations for support. We always hope that the adoption fee will cover our costs, but often that is not the case. We gratefully accept donations to allow us to continue our efforts. Donations can be made by check or online using PayPal.

Fostering
There are never enough foster homes. That's because often people can only take males, or females, or puppies etc. This makes it difficult. We provide our foster homes with materials, food allowance, take care of any medical costs and do some basic behavior training. Fostering is one of the most rewarding experiences but does require a bit of patience and flexibility. You can apply using this form.
Transportation
Often we need to get a dog from point A to point B. Transporting is simple and requires little if you are going that direction anyway. We do allow reimbursement for mileage. Please contact us if you are available for transporting rescues.
Shelter checks
We often need someone to run by a shelter in their area and check to see if a dog labeled as a Vizsla really is such. There is a lot of confusion these days about red dogs and what they may be. Please contact us if you are available to check shelters for Vizslas mixes.
Web checks
We like to have a few individuals checking the web for homeless Vizslas. This can and does alert us to dogs in private shelters that we may be of assistance to. Please contact us if you are able to check the web for dogs needing rescue.
Home visit
We typically do a home visit to a prospective adoptor that has not had a Vizsla in the past. This is brief and often the visitor takes along their own Vizsla so people can see what it's like to have one of these dogs in their home. Please contact us if you would like to be educated on the home visit process.
Fundraising
Hard to have too much of this. There are endless ways to raise money, if one has the time to organize and hold events. This can even include web auctions. Without fundraising, we would be in the red. Please contact us if you would be interested in helping with a fundraising event.
